Lovely folder from late 1950s early 1960s of Yosemite National Park in California. Available on ehttp://my.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?MyEbay&gbh=1&CurrentPage=MyeBayAllSelling&ssPageName=STRK:ME:LNLK:MESXBay.
In this blog I wish to share postcards from my collection with others, as there are many different catagories of postcards. I also will share what I am currently selling on Ebay. I like selling, buying and trading postcards. The Plus in the title is for the handcraft items I make and collect. Also for all the ephemera I collect.

Cabelas Outdoor Store - Postcard
I love Cabelas Outdoor stores. The first one I visited was in Minnesota (near Albert Lea
I was tired from a long drive so did not have much time to visit this store. But a few
years later I visited the Cabela Headquarters in Sydney Nebraska. What a
wonderful store. What was great was the RV park situated on the Cabela grounds.
This summer I visited the Cabelas near Reno Nevada, and enjoyed my shopping at this new location. And there is an RV park nearby.

Why do I not get any work done? Its Joey
I know I should be writing about postcards. I have to put them out of site or the dog just might eat them. I need to take more pictures but had to use my iPhone. I got this dog a week ago From the SPCA and no one seems to know what she is breed wise. Well the gal at the SPCA said a dutch hound, well I looked that up and one really does not exist just a nickname and she did not match the picture. One form from them also said lab/bassett....well it does kind of look like a hound dog with short legs. Looks like it might have some dach...wiener dog to me. Oh yes the rabies receipt said chi mix. But she is cute, loves to walk and is stubborn too. So better get back to those postcards.
All errors in this post are blamed on Joey who wants to go outside.

Valentine Hearts (Easy to Make Cookies) The Cranberry Kitchen
Red Cranberry sauce hearts top cooky rounds just before baking, and, as always, the cranberry cutouts come out in perfect form unchanged by oven temperature.
VALENTINE HEARTS
3 cups packaged biscuit mix
1/2 cup sugar
1 t nutmeg
3/4 cup milk
1 beaten egg
1 1/2 t cinnamon
1 CAN OCEAN SPRAY JELLIED CRANBERRY SAUCE
Blend the biscuit mix with sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Quickly stir in 3/4 c milk mixed with the beaten egg. Roll dough 1/4 inch and cut into large rounds. From 1/2 inch slices of the canned jellied cranberry sauce cut hearts with heart shaped cookie cutter. Place one cut-out
on top of each round of cookie dough. Bake in hot oven (425 F)15 to 20 minutes.
Recipe is from vintage copy of the Cranberry Kitchen with spring ideas.
I have not tried this yet, but it is interesting that the cranberry sauce stays firm doing cooking. Give it a try. I assume you can use Bisquick.

Version of Mary had a Little Lamb Postcard
I am thinking warm weather. Is Summer here yet. My blogs have been
rather short these past few days. We adopted a cute 2 year old dog 2 days
ago and she is a cutie. A hound mix of some kind but a real sweetie. She had
a ball yesterday shopping at Petsmart and then visiting relatives.
Right now she is sleeping in her new bed. Picture coming soon.

Envelopes from Hawaii Old Airmail Style - with photographs
When I visited Hawaii years ago I found packages of envelopes in a Stationery Store. I wish I had bought more although I am still saving a few for special mailings. Now you do not find airmail stripes on most envelopes. First Class Mail pretty much automatically goes airmail. I love the view of Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. The first photo is on the back of the envelope. Ah to fly to Hawaii to escape the cold.

ak-sar-ben spells what backwards? And how many people in this postcard?
I loved this postcard for the number of people watching this parade, the AK-SAR-BEN Parade. I have listed it on ebay (papel1 ID) but did not do my research until now. Found out that spells Nebraska backwards. This is based on a Fraternal type organization in Omaha Nebraska.
