If there is a Chocolate Factory I stop while RVing

This is called the Chocolate Nugget and is between Reno and Carson City Nevada on Highway 395.  Only got a picture of the sign.  Now I wish I had bought more.  My bag is about empty.

Cutter Quilt Angel and Hearts ready for a project.

During the hot weather I  sort through my fabric and old pieces of quilts.  I made this cute angel out of a quilt piece from the 1950s that had holes in it so I cut out the good parts and sewing by hand made this angel.  This is just one pattern I use.
I cut out these heart shapes but not quite sure what I will do with them.  Actually have over a dozen hearts so might make a swag.

Interesting Postcards

Semi Nude Jeune Fil Young Girl of Senegal Africa
Afrique Occidentale Francaise
Wonderful photograph (not a real photo but vintage black and white postcard) of this Young Girl in Africa.
Menton - La Viellle Ville is on the Cote d'azur on the border of France and Italy.  It is also known as the Pearl of France.  A popular place for travelers.  Every February there is a lemon festival.  I wonder if the FIREWORKS on this lovely vintage postcard is from that festival or maybe is Bastille Day or any summer evening.

Good article on Collecting....Is it in the DNA? Ruby Lane

The nature vs. nurture scientific debate is continuous. Does it apply to collecting? | Notes From the Lane

The thing I found interesting about this article is the age of stamp collectors.  They are not young.  The author says we should have our children, grandchildren help work with you on your collections, putting them in albums etc..  Then he said he went to the website of Philatelic Club of America and all the officers and board members were over 65.  Well I have some stamps in my collection and I am over 65.  I had better give a few precancels to my niece and nephews.  They will ask what are Precancels?  For some reason I don't think they will be too interested, but they do seem to like postcards.

Children with pets and pretty flowers I think would attract the young collector.

Instructions for the Genteel Female in the proper coquetry of the FAN

One of my favorite paper fans - How you hold your fan delivers a message...
Draw Fan across the cheek.....this means I Love You
Cover the left Ear with open fan.....this means Do Not betray our secret.
Gaze pensively at unfolded Fan....this means Why do you Misunderstand me?

Ladies employing these Rules in the Exercise of the Fan do so at their own Discretion & Risk

Swifts Pride Soap @judyspostcards Advertising Cards

I love the old style postcards, especially the clothespins.  In fact I do not see too many clotheslines.
