Karamursel Turkey Vintage Photo of candy store.

I taught for the Department of Defense from 1967 until 1970.  The first year I was at an American Base Karamursel 2 hours from Istanbul.  Here is a photograph of some of my class in front of a candy store in a nearby town also called Karamursel.
Below is a photograph of the American Section of the town of Yalova.  Here you caught the ferry to visit Istanbul.  The second picture shows the American base.  Many years ago 1967 - 1968.
I am always looking for Turkish postcards.

2nd group of men posing in front of house, 2 men throwing snowballs Postcard

Who are they?  Where are they?  When?
Long coats seem to be the fashion along with suits in the early 1900's.  Not the fashion for snow today.  Looks like they may have their dress shoes on.  First group of men was in previous post.  Family or group photos were popular then and made into postcards.

Antique Postcard RPPC Group of men with lady on Porch, Maybe a boarding house

This photo postcard is kind of intriguing.  10 standing men with one man in a wheel chair.  What job does the woman have on the porch?  Is she the owner of the house and has boarders.  Is it a club and she is the cook?

Old stately house on Real Photo Postcard Maybe California

Love all the old buildings you find on Real Photo Post Cards.  It gives you the idea of what architecture was like in the early 1900s.  This is an unidentified house but card was purchased in Old Sacramento so maybe it is from this capital city of California.

Salt spoon on Himalayan Salt on Mug Rug

My sister came to visit me and for her birthday I gave her a Salt Spoon  When she got back to Seattle she placed it on Himalayan Salt and then placed it on a mug rug that I made for her several years ago.  She likes to fish so I created Rainbow trout.
