Fashions of the 1880's to 1895. Cabinet Card

This is quite fashion statement from the late 1800's.  Big hat, puffy sleeves and it looks like she has a fur piece around her neck.  Many cabinet cards used wicker furniture in their photos.  Here this chair is helping her balance herself as she waits for her picture to be taken.  Available on ebay

Vintage Flat Maps

Have been doing so many other things that I have not posted in over a week.  I have been sorting through bins and found several old maps.  Yes that is my project this weekend, organizing my bins.  It makes it easier to sell on eBay and then hit the sewing machine and know where my projects are located.

Searching Old Photographs - Down Memory Lane Father's Day

I wonder why I never get my boxes organized.  It is because I find "old collectible things" cannot decide what to do with them so back in the box they go.  Today I looked through old photographs and found 2 appropriate for Father's Day.  My Father was born in Portland Oregon and I think this photograph is of him graduating from Reed College.  Pictured below him is his Father who after serving in the Spanish American War became a mailman.  Here he is posing with his mailbag.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY
