Postcard Show and Exhibition in Los Angeles Advertising Postcard PFF

Its Postcard Friendship Friday over at Beths blog
I picked this postcard as I found it different from most in my collection. It looks old but is actually an advertisement for a Postcard Show in Los Angeles...
Race over the hill to the Greater Los Angeles Postcard Show and Exhibition held June 25th and 26th, 1983
I know there are still post card shows but I have not been to any.

Just caught up on your blog, Judy, and love all the postcards you have been sharing. This one is really great. I've never heard of a postcard show, but I've been in some shops that might as well have been called a show as there were so many there. As I scrolled down, I fell in love with the little girl trying to reach the mailbox! That was just too sweet!
Thanks for visiting my blog today. I love Kindle, too! Way too easy to buy a book, isn't it?????

I have never been to one, and I'm sure it would be so hard to pick the ones to take home from a big show. I know of only one post card dealer in our area that does nothing but postcards. The rest of the booths may have a handful at a time at the most.
Looks like fun.

They're a lot of fun. I think you just have to set a spending limit before you go.

Well that card would have certainly tempted me to the show. If only I had a time machine.

Yes there are still plenty of shows, but I haven't been to one either. I do look on ebay....

I've only recently found out about postcard fairs. I didn't realise they'd been going for so long.

What a great old car - great choice for advertising their show.
