Simon Gierce is the owner of the Beijing Postcard store in China. I found this article in the magazine The Messenger the official magazine of China Radio International. Gierce who came from Denmark loves exploring Chinese History. In his quaint shop, one can discover Chinese postcards on the wall. He loves to share the stories behind these postcards.
The article says that lots of foreigners who lived in China between the years 1890 and the 1940's took many photographs . These can be can found in Simons shop but also at flea markets and on the Internet. Simon shares a postcard (in the first picture) of a Chinese family and kids.
So if you are in the Nanluoguxiang area of Beijing here is a postcard store to visit.

In this blog I wish to share postcards from my collection with others, as there are many different catagories of postcards. I also will share what I am currently selling on Ebay. I like selling, buying and trading postcards. The Plus in the title is for the handcraft items I make and collect. Also for all the ephemera I collect.
