We had 3 inches of rain yesterday and its wonderful. We needed it so badly. It has calmed down some which is good as it gives time for the water to sink in. Poor Casper the cat hated it yesterday and sat on the porch under cover looking at it. Today he is out and about and maybe the gophers will swim to the surface and he will catch one. The birds do not seem to be affected and are at the feeders despite the rain. It snowed on Tioga Pass so its closed in Yosemite but I imagine it will open up in a few days. The leaves are falling and some are turning yellow. I feel Halloween in the air.
