Vintage Postcards - Roses

I love Flower Postcards especially Roses. These 3 cards are from about 1910. All are embossed and have splashes of Gold or Silver.

Sew Girls - Queen Zippira and Buttonella

This has nothing to do with postcards or challenges etc. Just felt like sharing something I made the past few days and had great fun. This is from the Loralie Fabric Line called Sew Girls. I sandwiched the square (cut from a panel of other great ladies) with batting and a backing then hand quilted around the ladies. I love their wardrobe. What am I going to use it for? Well maybe a potholder, hot pad but most likely will hang it on the wall.

Antique/Collectible Postcard Finds

I went on a shopping spree Monday and found about a dozen postcards at an antique mall. Well I found more but didn't buy them all!
This is from a town near me. I found the information written at the botton interesting. The only Masonic Lodge in the state of Calif. allowed to meet on the ground floor. This lodge is in Hornitos. They still meet on the ground floor and I guess all others must meet on the second floor. I have been inside and its very nice. I think the building was built about 1856.
Mono Siphon and San Joaquin River Bridge, Fresno County in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. I have driven on this road and its not much better, paved though!
I love the view of this Motel sign...advertising TV , Room Phones and Ice Cubes. Now they would be advertising Internet Connections or WiFi. Just not as charming.
This motel is in Prescott, Arizona.
I have listed these on Ebay. I guess I can part with them.

Ribbon, Beads Vintage Postcard

This early Postcard is decorated with embellishments. This card has tiny beads glued for tree branches and ribbon laced through the front. It is double sided. I think its a little gaudy but unique. I have listed this postcard on eBay. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=220264979734&ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT&ih=012

Sunday Postcard Art - On Yer Bike!

The theme for Sunday Postcard Art this week is Bicycles...any kind, "On Yer Bike"
I have never wanted my picture online but who is going to recognize me now with my neighbor.
The colorful bike is from a graphics program, and us kids are posing by a "scooter bike" I don't even think its mine. This PC is 4 inches by 6 inches.
