Joey Loves to RV in Orange Grove Park, Bakersfield California

Sorry I don't have any more pictures of Joey our newest dog of 3 weeks.  We wanted to see how she would do traveling with us. We left on Monday night just an hours drive to Chukchansi Indian Casino in Coarsegold California.  They let you park your RV in their large parking lot. She took to walking right away.  When we went into the casino we put her inside her cage in the trailer.  She is a chewer we found out.  But she has lots of room.  The next morning off to Orange Grove RV Park on Highway 58 on the outskirts of Bakersfield.  By the way she sleeps all night in her doggy bed and fits in our 19 foot trailer.

Orange Grove RV park is one of the busiest and largest parks in California.  It is a stopping point for the snowbirds going to or returning from Arizona and other warm destinations.  We picked a spot near the office at the end of the row and we watched 28 motorhomes, fifth wheels and trailers check in.  And with them the dogs. Joey went right away to the dog run area, which is fenced in.  Of course its Poop and Scoop. She gets along fine when people walk by but gets excited if they are walking a dog.  My shoulders and legs are sore from keeping her calm from her excited state.  She also loves Truck Stops, roadside rests and vacant lots.  She also rides well in the back of the pickup truck.  We are now home and she is wondering where our next trip will take her.  Scroll down about 4 entries to see her picture.  She is a Dachshund mix we think.
