In this blog I wish to share postcards from my collection with others, as there are many different catagories of postcards. I also will share what I am currently selling on Ebay. I like selling, buying and trading postcards. The Plus in the title is for the handcraft items I make and collect. Also for all the ephemera I collect.

Paper Doilies - Do you ever use them?
If you shop at yard sales there always seem to be paper doilies on hand. Its like people buy them with good intentions for some use. Thats what I did last week. I bought somee As a kid I use to take them out and color in the swirls and other decoratve designs. Or I would cut them up for greeting cards. I have no idea what I will do with them but they came in this vintage box from the 50's and I liked that. So probably when I have a yard sale I will put this box of paper doilies out on the table.

They are great for crafts especially if you want to hold them down and then paint an area..when you pick the doillies you have a nice design to embellish some more. I also put them in the bottom of small baskets when making a little gift...makes it look so pretty. I just never think to buy them anymore :)
I've seen people use doilies as a template on chocolate cakes. Lay the doily down. Sprinkle powdered sugar. Remove the doily and voila...you have a fantastic looking cake.
I still use them for valentines too...and sometimes they're hard to find.
You could show them for Vintage Thingies Thursday.
